ePSXe 1.9.25 with BIOS free full download (PS1 Emulator)(Updated)

ePSXe is the most popular PSX emulator for the PC. It runs almost any ps1 games, either thru the cd rom of your PC or save it on your your hard disk (should be ISO extension, or convert your ps1 cd's to ISO). Although it runs almost any ps1 games, there's still some lock-ups and bugs which you can just search the web for a fix.

I uploaded the emulator thru mediafire (1.9.25 is the latest version), just extract it using winrar or 7-zip then run ePSXe file, insert your ps1 cd, click file, then select run CD ROM. This is the most complete and updated version of ePSXe without having to download its BIOS. Everything under one file to suit your gaming needs.

Stress Buster - Samorost 1&2 (flash game)

Try this very addictive game by Amanita Design. Since its flash based, there's no need to download the game, just interact with the character and solve the puzzles on each stage.

Gameplay:
The player interacts with the world with simple point and click interface directing a small, white-clad humanoid with a little cap and brown boots (called simply "gnome" by Dvorsky). The goal of the Samorost games is to solve a series of puzzles and brain teasers. The puzzles are sequentially linked forming an adventure story. The game contains no inventory or dialogue, and the solving of puzzles mainly consists of clicking onscreen elements in the correct order. Solving a puzzle will immediately transport the player character to the next screen.

My Paranasal Sinus

I always have a cold and flu. Every month or two I have to visit different hospitals for checkup. The usual routine was to take CBC and urine test. Urine test OK, CBC white blood cell count, not good. In the end, I always take antibiotic for about week which doesn't work (btw, I always take megadose of sodium ascorbate (Vit.C)). Because this is ongoing for about five years, and even taking around 5-7g of vit.C sometimes doesn't work, we decided to consult a specialist. I was advised to have a CT scan because of a 3cm cyst in my sinus. We went to STI De Los Santos Medical Center here in Quezon City for a paranasal sinus scan (plain scan is 5,000 pesos).

where's the nurse?

Tawni O'Dell - Back Roads

I finished this novel for 3 days. This is the first novel that I’ve read from a female author since I’m more into thriller type. What caught my attention was the “Book Oprah’s Club” seal printed on the cover. The story is about an orphaned family led by Harley Altmyer, aged 19. Her mom was in jail for killing their dad and all the responsibility of being a parent was taken by Harley who has two jobs to make ends meet. The author did a great job of capturing his conflicts and stresses as he struggles to keep it together. The family secrets are intense and some scenes will make you uncomfortable because they violate a few taboos. The characterizations are vivid, narrative is too gripping and too real and each family member generates sympathy. The story itself is like a car wreck, devastation is all over it but you can’t help but look and ask why? I stayed up all weekend to finish it. I hope that the ending was different since he sacrificed so much and Harley is such a good person. He deserves to be saved or rewarded for all the things he'd done.

Ferdinand Marcos is better than any president

This entry is just a “what if?” questions and solely my own opinion.

I just had some questions in my mind regarding the celebration of the “People Power Revolution”. What if no one opposed Marcos? What if Marcos continued to be the president back then? What would happen to our country? Of course, many will say that Marcos is tyrant, unfair, unjust, and whatever bad things you call him. But when I had a conversation with my parents about him, all they said was good about him and nothing bad. What if Marcos continued to be the President? Surely, it will be a Marcos dynasty. Not even a single Filipino will be a millionaire or billionaire because hell be hogging their money. Surely, he is one of the most corrupt official. But who cares? At least we benefit from it There are those NPA’s, terrorist attacks, and it only shows how weak our armed forces and policemen’s are. Due to Marcos’ iron rule, he was able to impose order and reduce crime (remember the curfew hours?). Because of our international diplomacy, we are being aided by the US government and many infrastructures were built during his regime. After People Power, is it anything better? Did our economy improved? No. It even became worse, corruption is still evident. Maybe we can’t erase corruption, that’s given. But Marcos would have offered something better if we let him lead us (Philippines would have been a powerful and rich country just like the others).

I quote from wikipedia “The relative economic success that the Philippines enjoyed during the initial part of his presidency is hard to dispel. Many of Marcos's accomplishments were overlooked after the so-called "People Power Revolution", but the Marcos era definitely had accomplishments in its own right.

People power is the main reason why this country is poor and history repeated itself with People Power II and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo being the president.

My Vacation - Last part

So we reached Socorro by van for about 2 hrs (should have been 1 hr if not because of the road construction). We rested for the whole day and had the chance to invite other relatives for some chit chat. The next day, we decided to visit one of our small purchased land nearby to take a look.

Agriculture is the main source of income here.

You'll see rice fields along the way

Dogs, chickens, cows and goats are the most common animals outside the houses and backyards.

Since no one lives on the land we purchased, we decided to plant bananas and some citrus fruits. Some of the banana trees are ready to be harvested.
some of the fruits were eaten by birds

We earned about 1,200 pesos selling those bananas and bought food for dinner.

My Vacation - Part 1

Last 3 weeks, me and my dad decided to go to province to visit my grandma. We'll be staying at one of our relatives in Socorro, Oriental Mindoro. We arrived at Batangas city port around 5:30 am and bought our ticket scheduled for 6:00. We've chosen supercat as it only takes around 45 minutes of travel time if I'm not mistaken.
People are lining up for their seat numbers
But around 5:45, the trip was cancelled due to some technical problems and will resume at 8:30. We refunded the ticket and went to RORO (roll-on/roll-off) port for the 6:30 trip (it takes approx. 2-3 hrs). Vessels here are bigger since its designed to carry wheeled cargo like trucks, automobiles, buses, etc.

we traveled thru one of besta's ship
We reached Calapan city at exactly 10am and headed to Socorro (thru van) for another 2 hrs.

Greg Iles - Mortal Fear

I just want to share a book that I’ve read a year ago. This book is about a serial killer that targets females from an erotic online dating service called EROS. Its mostly about sex and murder. The killer uses many usernames, he toys with women, kills them, and can always find a way of escaping thru his vast knowledge of computers. Since the protagonist is the system operator of EROS, he became one of the prime suspect along with his colleague. This is where the cat-and-mouse game hunt begins. You can search it online for a better synopsis since I’m not good with it.

The book itself is a fairly long read. But, it never really bogs down. Greg Iles has put a great deal of detail into this novel. It also has plenty of action and it deals with family problems that ties in the end. The computer aspect of the story is also interesting since the killer is anonymous thru the Internet. The tension is great and I love the conversations as it really builds up the story. In the end, this is a book that I’ll recommend to everyone who wants an excellent suspense and psychological thriller.

Diablo - A one of a kind classic game (free full version download)

Most gamers today are playing RPG games right? (Well, that applies to online gamers)  With lots of titles to choose from you wont be contented with just playing one. My mindset was to always have my character level-up so high that I can boast it to my friends. But lets backtrack. One of the reasons why RPG games are so popular nowadays is because of Diablo by Blizzard. I remember that I borrowed and installed an original copy from my neighbor (wala pang pirated cd noon) and became addicted to it. The objective of the game is to find evil creatures and to kill them repeatedly. The game itself has some nice graphics considering its old, and you get the basic elements of an RPG genre. There are 3 characters to choose from. A warrior for melee type, a rouge for ranged attacks, and a magic type sorcerer. For the system requirements, as long as your computer was build around 1996 and above standard, then you wont have problems Anyways, its really nice that we look back to the past and appreciate the old times which shaped the future to what it is now. And all I can say is, "Lets kick some demons butt".

Here are the screenshots of the game:

Download it here: (just extract in a folder and run the file named "diablo")

Peanuts anyone??

One of my cousin came over my place yesterday to cook his favorite snack (he lives in a dormitory). And as usual for the last 4 months, he’s been eating peanuts (as the title says). I asked him, why do you like peanuts? He said, “I just like them, I do, but at least I’m eating something good instead of just chips”. Well, for me, peanuts gives you pimples, so I avoided eating to much of it. I would rather become fat eating chips than having pimples all over my face. But you can overlook those things because of its benefits, and not to mention its cholesterol-free (ow, really??). Peanuts are one of the "food for the brain", so nutritious that it affects your blood pressure (so old ones be aware, remember the tv ad, bawal ang pork, ang beans....).

By the way, he cooked 2 kgs and added honey to it (no garlic and salt added). After that he packed it on empty plastic containers.

So why don’t you try one now, or just buy from the supermarket. I would advise you to eat it a day before your exam or while you study (trust me it really helps a lot). Any kind of nuts will do except coconuts.

Paul the Octopus

Would you like to have an octopus as a pet? Most of us will say no as it’s not common for a pet owner to have one (correct me if I’m wrong). But what if you have one and you’re a football fan (anong konek??). Meet Paul the Octopus, a common octopus in Germany where it had predicted correctly Germany’s 7 matches and the finals.

But since its death last 3 months ago, a 2-meter (6-foot) tall plastic replica of Paul clutching a ball in his eight arms was unveiled in Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen yesterday.

 Picture taken from nytimes.com

"We acted upon the wishes of fans and created a place of remembrance," Munzig told The Associated Press.

How cool is that?? (Dito sikat yan na calamares sa kalye) I wish there’s another pet psychic like that who can guess the correct SUPER LOTTO number combinations. Maybe a street cat or dog or something rare, how ‘bout a mouse or a lizard (or preferably a house rat, para may pakinabang naman sa bahay ^_^).

First Post - Hello World

This is my first post in this blog and I'm really excited about it. Most blogs starts with their first post with "Hello World" as the subject (I assume thats the default title or lets say they cant think of anything else to put in), but its actually one of the most common word in the programming language. (Read below)

From wikipedia:
A "Hello World" program is a computer program which prints out "Hello World" on a display device. It is used in many introductory tutorials for teaching a programming language. Such a program is typically one of the simplest programs possible in most computer languages. It is often considered to be tradition among programmers for people attempting to learn a new programming language to write a "Hello World!" program as one of the first steps of learning that particular language.
